A meeting was held at the SATKAB Specialized Company to decide on the executive structure and the location of the secretariat for the "Committee on Competence Assessment for Exporters of Goods and Technical-Engineering Services in the Water and Electricity Industry." The meeting was attended by Mehran Golabkesh, CEO of the Water and Electricity Equipment Procurement and Construction Management Company (SATKAB), along with representatives from the Abaniroo Center and members of the aforementioned competence assessment committee.
A meeting was held by the specialized company SATKAB—attended by representatives and stakeholders from the water and electricity sectors—to review the measures taken and the implementation processes regarding the qualification assessment guidelines for exporters of goods and technical-engineering services in the water and electricity industry.
At the start of the meeting, Mehran Golabkesh welcomed the attendees and outlined the meeting's agenda, summarizing the actions taken by SATKAB in accordance with the directive issued by the Minister of Energy.
He further noted that, given the challenging conditions facing domestic manufacturers and suppliers regarding the export of goods and services, the diligent implementation of this directive—combined with the issuance of export certifications and the provision of incentives—could serve as an effective step toward boosting export rates and generating foreign currency revenue for the country.
In another part of the meeting, committee members examined issues such as the final approval of the guideline's implementation procedures, the methodology for assessing applicant companies, and the mechanisms for providing incentives to these companies.
In this context, the CEO of the Water and Electricity Equipment Procurement and Construction Management Company (SATKAB) highlighted the importance of the qualification assessment process for exporters of goods and technical-engineering services in the industry. He stated that, as a state-owned entity, their duty is to pave the way for exports and foreign currency generation, while ensuring that these assessments do not compromise Iran's national brand.
Finally, after discussing and sharing views on the aforementioned implementation procedures, the committee members emphasized the need to continue the meetings of the qualification assessment committee and to leverage private sector capacity to support the export of goods within this industry.
